Citizens are advised to cope up with the inclement weather, which could result to localized flooding if heavy downpours continue. In Metro Manila, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley Region, the rest of Central Luzon, Cavite, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected. The rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Precautionary measures are being taken by local disaster risk reduction offices to ensure public safety.

Ester Exits PAR and Monsoon Rains Persist in Northern Provinces

From tomorrow to Monday, June 6 to June 8, Tropical Depression Ester is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility. As the cyclone departs, the enhanced Southwest Monsoon would continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Batanes, the Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet and Zambales.

The rest of the archipelago would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Local government units were tasked to deploy necessary rescue equipments in flood-prone areas, unless the weather systems rapidly weaken.

Midweek Weather Outlook and Afternoon Thunderstorms Expected

Looking ahead from Tuesday to Friday, June 9 to June 12, the country would generally experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, mostly occurring in the afternoon or evening. However, conditions would become mostly cloudy with scattered rains over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas due to the continuous effects of the Southwest Monsoon.

Additional informations and advisories would be issued by the agency if significant changes in the forecast occur, e.g., sudden shifts in wind patterns, through the twenty-four-hour public weather forecasts.
