In a development that is anticipated to result to a surge of excitement among local music enthusiasts, Indonesia's LaLaLa Fest, a leading music festival in Southeast Asia, is heading over to the Philippines for the first time later this year.

A joint post by the festival, its new Manila account and show promoter Wilbros Live announced that LaLaLa Fest would be arriving here in August. This year's festival in Jakarta, Indonesia, where the brand is originally based, is happening on August 22 to 23. It is headlined by a formidable array of international acts, e.g., Rex Orange County, The Flaming Lips, Two Door Cinema Club and Kodaline. Notably, Two Door Cinema Club is marking the fifteenth anniversary of its debut album "Tourist History" while Kodaline is performing as part of its farewell tour.
Throughout its history, the festival has showcased elaborate stage productions, stunning visual imageries and performances by globally renowned artists. Past headliners include the Black Eyed Peas, LANY, Honne, Camila Cabello, Tyla, Madison Beer and the Temper Trap.
By blending traditional pageantry with a strong focus on performing arts, titleholder Borromeo is leveraging her international experience and musical background to redefine what it means to compete in the inaugural Miss Worldwide Philippines.
