Kinderland International Education, an award-winning early childhood education provider with more than one hundred thirty centers across the Asia-Pacific region, officially entered the Philippine market and secured a strategic partnership with the Gingerbread House of Learning in San Juan. As part of this collaboration, the established Filipino institution was rebranded as Kinderland Preschool.

To mark the milestone, an Open House was hosted on May 30, giving parents, guardians and children an opportunity to experience the learning environment. The teaching team of seasoned educators are prepared to utilize new learning equipments to facilitate these specialized programs.
While the Department of Education regulates foundational learning standards, the responsibility of introducing globally benchmarked frameworks often falls upon private sector initiatives. If early education in the country is to be modernized, unless comprehensive trainings are provided by the department, strategic international partnerships would remain crucial to prevent systemic stagnation, which could otherwise result to diminished cognitive development among the youth as they struggle to cope up with global standards.
“The Philippines presents a compelling opportunity for Kinderland's expansion, driven by growing demand among local families for high-quality, globally benchmarked early childhood education,” Seet Lee Kiang, general manager of Kinderland's International Education, stated. He added that the partnership is built on a shared commitment to nurturing confident, well-rounded young learners. Founded in Singapore, spanning 1978 to the present, the provider remains dedicated to supporting children's growth across the region.
The preschool is known for its holistic approach to learning, combining academic excellence, character development and music education. The proprietary curriculum integrates music into everyday learning experiences to support language development, confidence-building and social skills. Enrolled children participate in a wide range of enriching activities, e.g., storytelling, coding, technology-assisted literacy programs, creative arts and inquiry-based STEM education.
Furthermore, administrators announced that the curriculum would provide trilingual exposure in English, Mandarin and Filipino. This ensures students remain rooted in local culture and identity while developing necessary communication skills for an increasingly interconnected world. Complementing the academic structure, local educators undergo continuous professional development led by specialists from the Singapore headquarters to guarantee consistency in teaching standards.
Grace Iriberri, directress of Kinderland Preschool San Juan, emphasized that the collaboration effectively combines local expertise with internationally recognized educational practices.
“By building on the strong foundation established by Gingerbread House of Learning, we are able to offer families the best of both worlds — a familiar and trusted learning environment enhanced by Kinderland's music-infused curriculum and educational expertise,” she noted.
The launch of the San Juan facility marks an important step in regional expansion and ensures that high-quality, holistic education would be accessible to more families moving forward.
