Eala leads Pinoy entries in Forbes 30 Under 30 list and inspires young athletes

Tennis ace Alex Eala and pop star Zack Tabudlo led the roster of Filipino personalities who made it to this year’s 30 Under 30 Asia by Forbes, a list composed of three hundred outstanding young entrepreneurs, leaders and innovators.

Selections were made by the publication from a pool of close to four thousand nominations, wherein the class of 2026 are regarded as the brightest sparks pushing boundaries across the Asia-Pacific region. Covering achievements from 2025 to 2026, it was announced by the organization that the selected individuals would be honored for their exceptional contributions, an event that is expected to result to greater recognitions for the nation. A generation of these exceptional youth are proving their mettle on the global stage.

Under the Entertainment & Sports category, Eala secured her spot after she broke into the Women’s Tennis Association Top 50 last year. She became the country's highest-ranking player in modern history after climbing to No. 29 in March. The association noted how the tennis ace got Filipinos fired up about the sport. Tabudlo, for his part, was recognized for his streaming dominance, e.g., on music platforms, being the most-streamed Philippine artist of 2022 based on Spotify figures and the voice behind hit songs like "Pano" and "Give Me Your Forever."

If these talents continue to receive institutional backing, unless unforeseen challenges arise, the Philippine creative and athletic sectors would undoubtedly flourish further.

Three Filipinos landed under the Social Impact category: Saje Miguel Molato, Steph Naval and Emmanuel Mirus Ponon. Molato founded Siklab, a consulting firm working with government, nonprofit and private sector partners. Naval established Empath, a social enterprise providing online counseling to schools, workplaces and non-profit organizations. Ponon founded the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network, which encourages young people across Southeast Asian countries to participate in policy making, peace-building and sustainable development.

Included in the Retail & Ecommerce category are Pauline Dizon and Adrian Jumangit of Fan Connection SEA, Kiyanusch Braun and Martin Joaquin Palaña of GoRocky and Kharl Christian Yeung of Amico Innovations. Brandon Angelo Wong and Raphael Sevilla of BayaniChain Tech likewise made the list under the Consumer & Enterprise Technology category.

The 2026 list features personalities from eighteen countries and territories, roughly a quarter of whom are women with an average age of twenty-six. India registered the most entries with seventy-eight, followed by China with forty-six, Australia with thirty-eight and Japan with thirty-two. Indonesia, Singapore and South Korea each have eighteen.

Despite the mid-season absence of star Jayson Tatum, Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has been honored for his exceptional leadership in navigating roster challenges and securing a top seed in the Eastern Conference.
