Legendary South Korean professional golfer KJ Choi visited Hann Reserve last week, and an extensive assessment of one of the club’s signature courses was conducted to ensure alignment with his original vision.
The ambitious project, named Six Moons, marks the first time a golf course was designed under his own name. Careful steps are being taken by the management to seamlessly blend rolling fairways with native vegetation, creating stunning imageries of the local landscape. Choi, who currently plays on the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Tour Champions, noted that a strong emphasis was placed on precision, natural harmony and environmental integration. Prior to his current stint, he had competed on the tour for several years.
During the site inspection, Hann Reserve Chairman Dae Sik Han welcomed the veteran golfer. The chairman expressed immense confidence in the eighteen-hole layout, which masterfully combines technical challenges with scenic beauty.
"From the course conditions and design to the grain and quality of the grass, everything is truly exceptional," Choi remarked.
He added that throughout his six years of playing in Asia, he had never experienced a course quite like it. It was subsequently noted by the designer that this exceptional level of quality would give the company a profound sense of pride.
Choi further emphasized that if an athlete wishes to successfully cope up with the relentless challenges of the sport, strict adherence to discipline must be maintained. He pointed out that thoughtful course management would result to a highly balanced experience for both male and female golfers.

"I believe it is important to stay faithful to the fundamentals," stresses Choi. "Whether it is maintaining the right lifestyle, practicing consistently, working on basic elements, e.g., the grip, or following the proper training methods, these are things that must be repeated and maintained over time."
Unless a player takes absolute care of these foundational basics, small cracks would eventually begin to appear in their competitive performance. Designing the exclusive property, i.e., Six Moons, was considered a monumental challenge since his primary profession remains as a player. However, it was formally announced that ordinary players would want to return and play again because the meticulously planned layout feels comfortable yet strategically challenging.
Harmie Constantino completed a dominant comeback at the ICTSI Caliraya Springs Championship, reclaiming her place among the top stars of the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour.
