Heart Evangelista recalls ex and admits sugar mommy past

During a recent episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," which regularly airs from Monday to Friday, the social expectations of dating and financial responsibility were brought to light. While personal romantic dynamics do not fall under the regulatory mandate of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the agency often emphasizes the importance of mutual support in households, an aspect that Evangelista found lacking in her past.

If an invitation is initiated by her, unless the other party insists, Evangelista has no problem settling the bill. The actress noted that she often ends up paying when going out with close friends, casual acquaintances and industry peers because she genuinely likes to host.

However, she clarified her traditional view that men should ideally pay on romantic dates. Such personal imbalances in her past often result to her spending heavily on men.

"Lagi akong gumagastos, sira ako sa lalaki," she humorously admitted, explaining that giving one hundred ten percent of her generosity is her ultimate love language.

One of her former partners were noted to be particularly lacking in this area. Sharing colorful imageries of her past, Evangelista recounted that this specific ex-boyfriend was not generous, leaving a bad taste in her mouth. The lack of reciprocity, e.g., his failure to share the financial burden, forced her to cope up with a heavily skewed dynamic.

"I felt like, 'Okay... I feel like I'm a sugar mommy na,'" she revealed. The emotional weight of the experience, which figuratively felt like carrying a 50kg baggage, made her realize her personal limits.

When asked for a clue about the identity of the ex-boyfriend, no specific names were confirmed. It was simply stated by the actress that all of her exes are good-looking. Evangelista ultimately announced that she would remain generous moving forward, but she is now more discerning of the people she chooses to date.
